Find the supply that runs out first

Cotton candy servings per refill depend on usable sugar, recipe consumption and approved paper-stick stock. Estimate sugar-based servings, then compare that result with sticks and any other required supply. The smallest usable quantity determines the stock plan.

Arched lists 8 kg sugar and up to 240 candies; Colorful lists 12 kg and up to 380 candies. These are recipe-dependent supplier claims. Pastel’s sugar figures conflict, so a comparable estimate needs its ordered usable load.

Measure consumption in one consistent unit

For a supplier-led recipe run, record starting sugar, additions, ending usable material, acceptable products and interrupted cycles. Keep the recipe identifier, software and sugar product with the record so a portion or ingredient change is visible.

Sugar-based servings = usable sugar allocated to production ÷ observed sugar use per acceptable serving. Compare that figure with approved stick stock. If the consumption measure already includes unsuccessful-cycle losses, show it that way and avoid deducting the same losses again; place any additional planning reserve on its own line.

  • Input: starting sugar, additions and ingredient lots.
  • Output: acceptable products, rejected products and interrupted cycles.
  • Material accounting: ending usable sugar, excluded residue and agreed measurement method.
  • Plan: sugar-based servings, stick count, other limiting supplies and stated reserve.

Work through a hypothetical refill

Assume an illustrative run starts with 2,000 g, leaves 400 g usable and produces 100 acceptable candies. If the agreed accounting assigns the 1,600 g difference to that run, consumption is 16 g per acceptable product. These numbers are hypothetical.

A later plan with 3,200 g available under the same assumptions gives 200 products before a reserve. With only 150 approved sticks, the stick load limits the plan first. This simple comparison is more useful for attendance than selecting the largest brochure number.

Adjust for the actual opening menu

Recipes with different portions need separate consumption rows. A weighted average can support purchasing when its menu shares are stated as assumptions; pilot sales then replace those shares. Keep losses by cause, such as a failed feed or recipe trial, so the relevant supplier or training response remains clear.

Translate the limiting stock into a visit plan using the supplier’s replenishment process and the venue’s access windows. During the pilot, reconcile stock indications with physical records. Update the worksheet after recipe, ingredient or portion changes.
