Marble Arcade Game Maintenance: A Route Inspection Checklist
Give route staff a repeatable marble cabinet inspection log, with model-specific instructions governing internal work.
Separate observation from repair
A marble arcade game maintenance checklist starts with the visible play loop, ball condition and recorded symptoms. A consistent route log lets staff describe the interruption and pass the right information to technical support.
The Pink and Blue Marble reference material does not include a maintenance manual, inspection interval or wear data. Set the initial schedule with the supplier using the quoted model’s instructions, then revise it from actual service records.
Make a route inspection log
Keep one entry per cabinet visit, identified by site and serial number. Use consistent symptom names and link photos or short videos to the entry. Record inspections that need no corrective work as well as visits where staff intervene.
Capture the state before a permitted task and the result afterwards. The two entries let the next technician see what changed without losing the original symptom.
- Date, operator, location, cabinet identity and software version when available.
- Ready state, credit state and visible counter behavior before the check.
- Ball quantity and condition using the supplier’s specified criteria.
- Visible playfield, collection area and external damage observations.
- Symptom description, stage of play, evidence file and error message.
- Permitted action performed, instruction reference and result.
- Escalation owner, cabinet status and follow-up requirement.
Request the diagnostic path for the actual model
A credit issue, interrupted ball path and unchanged score call for different diagnostic questions. The exact model’s fault guide should connect each symptom with the permitted checks and escalation contact.
Describe the point in the session where the symptom appears, the visible message or counter state, and the ball specification in use. This gives support a more useful starting point than a general report that the machine is broken.
Assign routine tasks and escalation decisions
Assign routine care to trained venue staff and identify which tasks require a technician or supplier. Link cleaning, isolation and internal access to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If the same counter symptom occurs on two visits, retain both dated entries and the result of each permitted check. Support can then investigate the recurrence without treating the observation as a diagnosis.
Prepare a remote support message from the log
A support message can copy these fields directly from the log: cabinet/serial; last working configuration; play stage; observed symptom; ball sample; error text; permitted actions already taken; evidence filename.
Keep the supplier response with the entry and record the next agreed normal-session check. That closes the handover between the person reporting the issue and the person reviewing the result.
Revise the schedule from actual records
Review interventions by type, repeat occurrence and time out of service. The pattern helps decide where more frequent attention or a configuration review is useful.
For procurement, gather the inspection instructions, parts map, fault guide and support terms in one cabinet file. Make that file available to the next route technician so the service process does not depend on one person’s memory.
