Buy sticks against an accepted sample

Cotton candy vending machine sticks must match the quoted feeder and complete the candy-making and collection cycle. Start with the equipment supplier’s approved drawing and reference sample, then compare each proposed supply lot with that baseline.

The stick register should identify product code, length, diameter or section, material declaration, packaging and lot. Keep the reference sample and candidate samples labeled separately. Material documentation goes into the destination food-contact review alongside the compatibility evaluation.

Evaluate the full cycle on the quoted feeder

The equipment supplier leads loading, operation and any failed-feed recovery on the proposed cabinet. Agree the sample quantity and observation scope in advance, including the full sequence from a loaded magazine to a collected candy. Record the model, feeder revision, software and ingredient recipe with the results.

A change of stick, guide setting or feeder configuration starts a new test condition. Keeping those changes in the log makes it possible to identify which combination worked, rather than accepting a video assembled from different samples.

  • Sample identity: stick supplier, product code, lot and reference drawing.
  • Feed result: one stick fed, no feed, multiple feed, misalignment or breakage.
  • Finished-cycle result: candy completed, collection completed and operator intervention.
  • Changed condition: setting, sample or part changed; person making the change; next run identifier.

Include the magazine and finished product

The first successful feed is a starting observation. The useful demonstration also shows stick positioning, support during candy making and removal of the completed product. If lower magazine levels are part of the agreed scope, record the stock level for those cycles.

Keep unsuccessful attempts in the same run log. Their pattern helps distinguish a supply-lot issue from a setup issue and gives the equipment and consumables suppliers a common description of the problem. The agreed run supports the tested configuration; longer-term feed performance can then be tracked during the pilot.

Compare delivered supply terms

Compare the equipment supplier’s accepted sticks with a local source by specification, sample result, pack size, delivered price and replenishment route. A hypothetical importer could save on shipping with a domestic source, but only if the accepted specification remains available in bulk.

The bulk order should name the accepted sample code, lot-traceability requirement and substitution process. Add the equipment supplier’s support terms for alternate sticks. Incoming stock can then be compared with a clear purchasing record instead of a photograph or the word compatible.

  • Disposition: accepted for the recorded configuration; revise and retest; or unsuitable.
  • Bulk order fields: sample code; drawing revision; pack quantity; supplier; change-notification requirement; alternate-consumables support terms.
