Artwork, material and the collected sheet

Test nail sticker printing with the actual substrate, intended artwork and collected output from the quoted cabinet. Check legibility, alignment and whether handling damages the finished sheet. The reference prints stickers and also vends ready-made nails; it does not demonstrate printing onto a customer’s fingers.

The sample review joins three pieces: artwork, substrate and the complete sheet the customer collects. Its practical outcome is an accepted reference for the saleable offer. Keep the actual material information and supplied use instructions with that sample.

Choose artwork and substrate samples together

Select artwork with fine lines, solid areas and designs close to the declared printable boundary. Include the size formats intended for the opening assortment. Attach file identifiers and substrate stock codes to every result so a design approval is not transferred to another material.

Compare the printed sample with the preview using consistent observation conditions. Record alignment, legibility, surface marks and the completeness of the supplied output. Ask how a customer identifies the usable pieces and what instructions accompany the sticker. Avoid inventing application or removal advice for an unknown adhesive.

  • Sample card: artwork ID; substrate code; material documentation; software version; output format; date.
  • Output review: layout; scale; line detail; colour appearance; complete print; pickup condition; supplied instructions.
  • Decision fields: accepted sample; defined rejection reason; professional review pending; change requiring retest.

Test the practical output journey

Observe how a design becomes the collected product: selection, preview approval, payment test, printing and retrieval. Confirm that the printed format matches the product shown to the customer. Preserve the order reference and sample together rather than assessing a loose sample made outside the vending journey.

Hypothetical test: the design is well printed but the collected sheet is folded or marked. The final output fails the agreed pickup criterion. Separating print appearance from handling helps the supplier see whether the correction belongs to artwork, material or collection.

Control repeatability and material changes

Repeat the same file on the same substrate and compare the complete output. Note settings or batch changes between samples. A consistent record is easier to use at handover than a collection of sheets with unknown materials.

Retain an accepted reference output and the associated documentation. A new sticker material, changed output size or revised customer preview should trigger a review. If the supplier cannot identify the substrate or provide applicable material information, hold that part of the purchase specification.

Pass, hold and change decisions

Pass the named substrate-and-artwork combination when the agreed output and collection criteria are met. Hold it when the sheet is damaged, identity is unclear or material documentation is missing. A changed substrate, size or preview starts a new record; a good old sample does not approve the substitute.

Turn the sample into a procurement requirement

Send the accepted artwork set, substrate identity and output criteria with the quote request. Ask for a priced opening consumable supply and replenishment specification, alongside the actual customer information package. Confirm whether merchandise packs are quoted separately from print materials.

The accepted output card gives the supplier a named substrate, artwork set and collection result to reproduce. It also gives staff a reference when a later material or pack arrives. Quote the opening print supplies and ready-made merchandise as separate lines.
