Specify the pack that will be dispensed

Build press-on nail vending inventory around complete retail packs: design, size offer, piece count, accessories, packaging dimensions and a tested dispensing format. A cabinet capacity label does not define any of these. Keep ready-made stock separate from the nail-sticker printing consumables.

The supplier lists up to 525 products in the reference configuration; the usable allocation depends on the accepted pack and dispensing arrangement. Record closed-pack dimensions, mass and stock position so the assortment plan reflects the physical merchandise.

Create a merchandise pack specification

Use one stock code for each accepted design-and-size offer. List the pack contents and customer-facing description together so a product change cannot silently alter the offer. Photograph both the closed retail pack and its labelled contents where appropriate. Retain an accepted reference pack for comparison at receipt.

Put material and product information beside the accessory contents in the pack record. The same record can support customer-facing instructions and the destination product review. It also reveals whether a replacement pack changes more than its appearance.

  • Pack specification: stock code; design; size assortment; piece count; supplied accessories; closed dimensions; weight.
  • Information fields: product supplier; lot reference; materials document; customer description; use instructions source.
  • Vending fields: accepted position; loading orientation; demonstrated quantity; pickup result; refill instruction.

Test packaging and selection as one system

Demonstrate the exact proposed retail pack in the quoted cabinet. Review loading, selection and collection using more than one format if the opening assortment differs materially. A loose sample or smaller showroom pack should not validate the production packaging.

Hypothetical scenario: a display sample is slim but the proposed retail pack adds an accessory compartment. The buyer should obtain a new dispensing test and updated usable capacity. Accepting the design appearance alone would leave an unresolved physical compatibility issue.

Build an assortment with explicit observations

Build the opening mix from dated customer requests, retailer feedback or a pilot. Keep design requests and size requests separate: a popular appearance is less useful when the available pack does not fit the requested size offer. Record stockouts and slower packs when planning the next refill.

Keep size-format requests and design requests separate in the observation log. Track out-of-stock requests, returns and support questions where the operator has a lawful process to collect them. Reorder from evidence, including slow-moving packs and rejected inventory as costs.

Retail pack acceptance row

Record: merchandise code; design and size offer; pieces and accessories; closed-pack dimensions and weight; display description; cabinet position; demonstrated vend result; accepted sample. A revised accessory insert or pack format needs a new fit review even if the nail design is unchanged.

Approve pack changes deliberately

Include pack specification, accepted vending sample and customer information in the quotation brief. Ask which substitutions are allowed and how changed packaging will be retested. Confirm opening stock and replenishment units separately from cabinet price.

Compare offers using the complete item the customer collects. The pack-and-assortment record connects that item to cabinet fit, opening quantities and reorder units. It makes a change in packaging or accessories visible before replacement stock reaches the venue.
