Ice Cream Vending Machine Toppings and Sauces: Configure the Menu
Map ice cream sauces and toppings to physical positions, ingredient codes and enabled recipes; control substitutions and customer information.
Build the menu from physical positions
Configure ice cream vending machine toppings by mapping each ingredient position to an approved product code and an enabled recipe. The supplier reference lists one base mix, three sauce positions and three topping positions. Use that map to design the opening menu, portions and refill stock.
The equipment supplier defines compatible ingredient properties and the loading and changeover process. Original ingredient records then support the responsible destination review of customer-facing ingredient and allergen information.
Create a position-to-menu record
Give each physical position a stable identifier and link it to the ingredient, authorized dose and displayed recipe. The record should answer which product code is loaded and which menu items use it. This is useful for replenishment as well as menu changes.
Keep the ingredient supplier’s original specification and revision with the product code and lot. Flavor names alone can group different formulations under one label, so the position sheet needs the actual ingredient identity.
- Hardware: position identifier; vessel or interface; compatible ingredient limits.
- Ingredient: supplier; product code; specification revision; lot.
- Menu: recipe identifier; positions used; dose; cup; name and image.
- Operations: loading/changeover instruction; trained owner; stock source.
- Public information: reviewed disclosures; language; menu version.
Demonstrate the opening combinations
Use the intended ingredient samples and cup to make each opening recipe. Record the selections available, positions used and completed serving beside the menu image. Cup space matters because the base, sauces and toppings share one container.
Treat the opening menu as the supported recipe list rather than every mathematical combination of positions. The quote should identify included software choices, dose-setting authority and the behavior when an ingredient is unavailable.
Keep substitutions visible
In a hypothetical supply shortage, an alternative topping has the same flavor name but a different code and declaration. The position sheet identifies affected recipes and menu information, so compatibility, handling and disclosure updates can follow the relevant review process.
Separate ingredients included in the equipment offer from those purchased locally. Retain the accepted samples, any required adapters and the current menu version with the order. The operator then has a clear record for the first refill and each later change.
