Nail Vending Machine Shipping: Resolve Cabinet and Packing Dimensions
Resolve the listed cabinet-versus-packing height before a freight booking; obtain the matched drawing, package weights and approved reassembly scope.
Resolve the height discrepancy before booking transport
Do not book freight for the nail vending machine from the current packing figures alone. The supplier lists a 230 cm assembled height but a maximum packing dimension of 215 cm. Resolve axis labels, detachable parts and package contents with a drawing and current package record before using either measurement.
The difference may come from axis order, detachable components or a packing revision. A matched drawing and package list should explain how the 230 cm assembled unit relates to the listed crate. Keep both original figures until that explanation is available.
Prepare a discrepancy resolution worksheet
Record both original values, their source page, axis labels and the date read. Add rows for the supplier response, drawing revision and supporting photos. Ask whether the crate contains one assembled body or several components, and whether accessories or separate packages are omitted from the listed dimensions.
Identify the complete machine, its detachable parts and the shipping packages individually. Weight needs the same discipline: the supplied 350 kg is a machine figure, not a confirmed transport gross weight. Obtain crate and accessory weights rather than deriving them from the cabinet weight.
- Dimension rows: assembled body; top sign; packed body; separate packages; axis order; units; source drawing.
- Confirmation rows: removed parts; authorised method; reassembly instructions; actual packed photo; package identifiers.
- Handling rows: net weight; gross weight per package; centre-of-gravity or handling information from supplier; destination unloading plan.
Test the delivery route with confirmed shipment information
Measure the receiving doorway, turns, lift and final location. Compare the route against each confirmed package, not only the assembled cabinet. If decrating is proposed before entry, have the responsible handler and supplier agree the method and identify who retains responsibility at each step.
Hypothetical route: the body crate passes the loading entrance but the assembled sign exceeds a lift limit. Add the sign package and assembly step to the route plan, with the supplier’s documented handling method. The receiving team can then plan the move in the correct sequence.
Keep freight and installation reviews separate
The freight party needs confirmed package counts, dimensions and weights. The site professional needs the installed envelope, service access and applicable handling or floor information. One approved freight quote does not establish that the machine can be placed and commissioned safely at the venue.
If the supplier revises the packing design after quotation, request revised freight and site reviews. Record which price or booking used which drawing. This protects against a seemingly minor packaging change creating an extra delivery, decrating or lifting cost.
Packing discrepancy record
Keep both supplied values in the row: assembled 125 × 106 × 230 cm and packing 215 × 135 × 116 cm. Add axis labels, detachable parts, current package photos, drawing revision and actual gross weights when supplied. Close the conflict with matched shipment information rather than editing a number by guesswork.
Close the issue with an evidence packet
Before approving shipment planning, collect the matched drawing, packed photos, package list and reassembly scope. Mark any remaining unknowns and the party expected to answer them. Avoid presenting a provisional crate specification as a confirmed freight-ready figure.
Send the discrepancy record with the destination and access measurements. Closing it produces a package specification the freight party can price and an assembly plan the receiving team can follow. Revisit both if the packing design changes.
