Shipping a Marble Arcade Machine: Playfield Restraints and Packing Records
Request a numbered internal packing map, gross measurements and restraint-removal instructions for a marble or ball cabinet.
Ask what can move inside the packed cabinet
For shipping a marble arcade machine, keep a numbered map of removed consumables, secured moving parts and transport restraints beside the gross packed measurements. The arrival team needs to know what to remove, what to reinstall and what stays with the operating cabinet.
The supplier-listed weights are 60 kg for each marble model and 150 kg for Shake Ball. These are machine figures, not packed weights. Packing drawings, gross weight and the internal transport procedure need to be specified for the shipment.
Create a moving-component packing map
Number items in the packing photographs or drawings and match them to the packing list. Each restraint entry should identify its location, purpose and removal instruction using the supplier’s approved method.
Keep the map with the shipment documents and link detached items to their cabinet ID. This is particularly useful when several models arrive together.
- Loose balls or marbles: quantity, separate packaging or approved installed position.
- Visible controls and any moving playfield assemblies: actual items to secure.
- Prize stock and detachable display parts: included, removed or shipped separately.
- Internal and external restraints: numbered position, purpose and removal sequence.
- Doors, collection areas and transparent surfaces: protection described by supplier.
- Packed dimensions, gross weight, orientation and handling guidance for the logistics provider.
- Separate carton IDs for detached parts and consumables, linked to each cabinet in a mixed shipment.
Document the condition before closure
Before closure, record cabinet identity, visible condition, included parts and packing-stage photographs. Save the supplier’s completed packing checklist with the shipment file.
For an illustrative record, restraint 03 has a labeled component and removal instruction. The receiving technician can match that entry to the physical restraint before following the documented procedure.
Plan receiving and first-operation responsibilities
Assign unloading, moving, unwrapping, restraint removal and reassembly before dispatch. Record the necessary tools and technician tasks so receiving staff can arrange them in advance.
The receiver compares identity, included items and condition with the shipping file. Damage, an unmatched part or an unclear restraint goes to the named supplier contact, with photographs and the contract’s reporting deadline.
Make shipping comparisons comparable
Compare transport quotes against the same packing specification, destination and handling scope. List crating, unloading, final placement and other destination charges with the party responsible for each step.
Attach the numbered map, gross measurements, parts list and receiving plan to the order. Revise the file when the included components change, and record freight and insurance terms separately.
